The Amarante collection daybed is a subtle pairing of bold color and streamlined form, softness and exuberance.
The curve of its frame – crafted of solid wood, simply oiled – poetically echoes the movements of the natural world. The choice of finish reflects the deep respect our craftspeople hold for the materials they use.
The streamlined, decidedly modern lines exude great elegance. They contrast with the textile’s abstract geometric shapes, which give the room character. The fabric’s patterns were inspired by cubist wallpapers found in journals from the 1930s, as well as Rinck’s own archival treasures.
These include a panel in verre églomisé representing a bouquet on a sideboard that Rinck presented at the 1939 New York World’s Fair.
