Table

The centerpiece of the Félicité collection, the table features a curve that takes inspiration from a 1937 design by Maurice Rinck and Lucie Renaudot. In this very contemporary interpretation, the curve contrasts with the table’s right angles and a finely worked base that intrigues the eye: is it metal or wood? It is, in fact, gouged wood rendered more beautiful still with dark-blue – almost black – varnish scattering the light in a thousand reflections. On the French walnut tabletop, a tinted gradient varnish also teases the eye and the imagination, surprising those who believe its appearance is a trick of the light. This piece is handcrafted in the Rinck workshops in France.
